Description
SiteCounterTM S-Palmitoylated protein kit is a quick and easy way to quantify the extent of S-palmitoylation of your protein of interest from cell or tissue lysates: it will allow you to visualise the number of S-palmitoylation sites in a target protein. Kit sufficient for 2 experiments of 2 samples and corresponding (negative) controls.
Kit
A chemistry kit to perform the 4 stages of palmitoylation site counting: Block, Cleave, Tag and Analyse – (by SDS-PAGE & western blotting). Each S-palmitoylated residue is labelled with a mass tag causing an electrophoretic shift in the apparent molecular weight of the target protein. Multiple S-palmitoylation sites result in multiple MW species of the target protein, which can be counted.
Kit specification
SITECOUNTER can be used with cell or tissue lysates from any biological system. Process upto 4 samples (~1 mg cell or ~20 mg tissue) with this kit, in 2 groups of 2 samples.
